Winnie Lui graduated from Central Saint Martins in Fashion Communication and Promotion. She learned the art of silversmithing from London-based jewellery designer Lara Bohinc. Now back in her native Hong Kong, Winnie has worked as a stylist for singer/actress Gigi Leung and has assisted photographer Wing Shya. In April 2008 she was Miriam Yeung’s stylist for the Hong Kong Film Awards. She has participated in the design of a spa, shop installations fashion graphics and photo shoots. She now has her own fashion accessories brand featuring custom-made necklaces, brooches and chapeaux. Winnie also participated in the Be@rbrick Meets Chinese Contemporary Artists event hosted by the Chinese International Gallery Exposition and Milk magazine in April 2008. Ten Chinese contemporary artists were chosen to design a 1000% Medicom Be@rbrick. The finished designs were auctioned to raise money for Smile Angel charity foundation, established by Faye Wong and Li Ya Peng to support children in China with cleft lip problems. In May 2008 Winnie created a collection of twelve pieces of jewellery for Tommorowland which are now being showcased, along with White (chandelier #12), in their flagship Shibuya store in Tokyo.
