Room39
Slovene born, East London based textile designer Petra Green launched Room39 in late 2010. Room39 is a space inhabited by brand of aesthetic with a distinctive preference for abstract patterns, bright colours and bold accents. A lifestyle brand, dedicated to creating playful, modern furnishings and accessories with a twist on tradition and subtle retro undertones, bringing to market a design that would appeal to men and women alike.All of our products are manufactured in either UK or Slovenia and the materials we use are also of European origin. Our UK made products are printed entirely by hand in London, with the exception of the At An Angle range where we combine factory printed base with hand printed colour accents. The cushions are then assembled either at the Working Well Trust, a London based charity providing training and employment for people who have experienced mental health problems , or hand made in our east London studio. The new POPknit range and Fragment kitchen textiles are printed and manufactured in Slovenia by a small family run factory, whereas our Kickstarter funded Knit Knit bedding is produced by Stead and McAlpin of Carlisle - fine English printers since 1835! We also collaborate with local artist and crafts people, working as far as possible in a sustainable way in marrying craft techniques and modern technology.
