Susanne Philippson was born in Seifhennersdorf, Germany. From 1997 to 2000 she studied Product and furniture design at ‘Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication’ in London. In 1998 she was an EU exchange student at Lahti Institute of Design in Finland for three months; then she continued studying at Design Academy in Eindhoven. In 2005 she opened her own design studio after having worked for Habitat, Droog Design and Muji in Japan. It’s in 2006 that her first design project was shown: the lamp Guardian of Light, carried out together with Pallucco. After that, her collaboration with Diamantini & Domeniconi Company allowed Susanne to show “Oora”, a series of container pieces of furniture, at International Furniture Fair in Milan 2007.
