Tom Dixon
Tom Dixon was born in Tunisia. He moved to UK with his family in 1963. After left school he joined the Funkapolitan band as a bass player. However an accident broke his arm therefore he had to give up his musician dream. He opened a bar and started to learn the welding in spare time. From 1980s, Tom was invited to make furnitures. He cooperated with Cappellini in 1987 to create the first S chair, then he joined Habitat as the art designer. In 2002 he created Tom Dixon, his own brand. The product includes furnitures, lightings, accessories and stationery.His special metal design express the UK industry spirit.
